Grass Cutting

Regular mowing of a lawn is the first step in creating a beautfiul green space. Grass is, in essence a plant; if you cut its growing point then the 'plant' branches out becomer more dense and making a thick lawn.

If you neglected your lawn and cut it very rarely, you wouldnt be allowing the grass to become thick and as a result would grow thin and tall. For a successful lawn it requires regular grass cutting at an appropriate height in suitable conditions. This is exactly where we come in.

Regardless of the size of your lawn, we at Lawn and Gardens by Maybury care about the quality and finished look of your lawn. We are passionate about lawns and will not only provide you with a reliable weekly or fortnightly service they will make certain that your requirements are not only met but exceeded.

Grass Feeding

This is often overlooked by many customers as they presume the wet Hebridean weather provides all the nutrients that the grass requires. Unfortunately this is not the case.

Lawns should be fed by an appropriate product at the appropriate time of the year. Most people presume to onbly feed your lawn in Spring, which does give a kick start but in fact the most important time to feed a lawn is in Autumn. The Autumn feeding can often look like it has made no difference due to the lack of Nitrogen but this feed 'protects' your lawn over the hard winter.

Feeding your lawn in conjunction with regular mowing will allow your lawn to not survive, but thrive.
